FOUR color heliotype prints on heavy paper, 14 1/4 x 19 1/2 inches on sheets 17 1/2 x 22 3/4 inches, accompanied by four matching text sheets, illustrated in black and white, plus introduction and table of contents from volume as published. Light soiling to margins, light general toning with stronger toning to upper margin of Umbrella Race print, general edgewear, chipping to upper margin of Colonel William Jay print (long but shallow), 3/4 inch tear to left margin of Queens County print, 1 inch chip to lower left corner of Polo Match print; above faults are confined to margins; image areas in very good clean condition. Four plates from Part One of "Sporting Incidents: being a collection of forty-four plates of Coaching, Hunting, Amateur Races, and Horses in the Show Ring". This was published in a limited edition of 1000 copies and printed by the Heliotype Printing Co. Part One included sixteen color plates; the project was left unfinished and the full forty-four were never published. The full titles of each print are as follows:
