Light edgewear, a few light marks to margins, tiny dark speck at lower edge of plate mark below title; overall very good condition. "The little Ava" is a Carolina parakeet (Conuropsis carolinensis), a small neotropical parrot declared extinct in 1939. A sensitive portrait of a vanished species.
