Folio of four chromolithographic prints taken from watercolor paintings, image area approx 12 x 11 1/2 inches on sheets 14 x 13 3/4 inches, tipped to textured paper cutout frames 17 1/4 x 16 inches. Prints loose in hardbound folio, paper-covered boards, ribbon tie, label tipped to front cover. Some abrasions and indentations to folio with sticker residue to upper right corner of front cover, light toning and occasional edge foxing to paper frames, 1/2 inch tear to Summer frame just below print at left; prints in fine condition. Four scenes set during the four seasons of a beautiful eighteenth-century town. A married woman receives a bouquet from a lover in Summer, various people transact their business in a fountain square in Autumn, a young woman shops with her maid in Winter, and a young woman tries to discreetly hand a letter to a young man in Spring. A nostalgic look at the past from the viewpoint of the early 20th century. Item #56615
