Atlas, 67 color printed maps (single and double page tipped in), 132 pages, 14 x 11 1/2 inches, gilt-decorative cloth-covered boards. Covers in poor condition: spine cloth covering completely gone with 1 1/2 inch paper loss to head and tail, covers rubbed and worn, boards attached by cloth mesh only. Text block in good condition: very slight crease to upper right corner of most pages, light toning, pencil notations to several chart and diagram pages, some light soiling to right margin where pages would have been turned. The Introductory pages of the Atlas provide color maps of "The World," "The Hemispheres," "The Solar System," and color statistic charts. Attention is next given to North America, Alaska, Canada, and a double page map of the U.S. followed by the Atlas' primary focus: color maps of the individual states and territories, many on tipped-in double pages. Atlas concludes with maps of Mexico, Europe, Russia, Turkey, Palestine, Asia, Africa, India, etc. Black and white illustration pages depict birds, people, and "The Improvements of a Century" Item #56522
