The seven illustrations on two pages show views of Seattle and Mount Tacoma, Snoqualmie Falls, Mount Baker and the Olympic Mountains, Lake Washington, and the Sound, and is accompanied by an article on Seattle by William Willard Howard. Other wood engravings in this issue depict the inner works of the steamer "Vesuvius", the drill of the Naval reserve on board the steam-ship "Minnesota", and more. Item #56498
