Booklet, 9 x 6 inches, large three color folding map (25 1/2 x 23 inches) tipped into back cover, full and partial page black and white illustrations throughout, 88 pages. Booklet: moderate wear and soiling to covers, increasingly small dampstain to upper right corner throughout text block (outside text and image area); good condition. Map: vertical crease next to center vertical fold (as a result of creasing to folded map), 1 inch separation at two fold intersections; overall very good condition, clean and bright. Folding map titled "Map of the Oregon Railroad and Navigation Company and the Southern Pacific Company (Lines in Oregon)", with text at top: "The Northwest presents the greatest opportunities for settlers of any portion of "Uncle Sam's" Domain." In lower margin: "For Grains, Grasses, Fruit, Live Stock and Mineral the Territory Embraced in this Map is Unequalled." The map includes Oregon and Washington and part of Idaho with the many many stops along the railroad route named. Similarly there are an abundance of small town named plus Indian reservations (including those of the Klamath Indians, Siletz Indians, Warm Springs Indians, Quinault Indians, Colvile Indians, Spokane Indians, Coeur d'Alene Indians, Umatilla Indians and Nez Perces Indians and Duck Valley (Shoshone Paiute) Indians.
