Black and white cartoon for an advertisement, painted on 15 x 15 inch board in what appears to be gouache. Large tear to tissue guard adhered to top (no paper loss), light foxing and toning to image margins, pencil annotations at top and bottom. Striking image is clean and bright. Two be-ribboned judges with walrus mustaches sit at a table. "Why are the winners so well dressed, Colonel?" asks one. "They've a Nardi habit!" replies the other.
