Color lithograph poster advertising the musical "King Dodo", 7 x 33 inches folding to 7 x 11 inches, text on verso. General edgewear and light soiling, 4 inch tear to left edge, text from verso bleeds through on poster side, address side filled out in ink; good condition overall, bright and attractive. King Dodo is a musical comedy with lyrics by Frank Pixley and music by Gustav Luders. It opened in Chicago in 1901 - "and Chicago wept to say good-bye" - and on Broadway in 1902. The illustrator of this striking poster is not credited, though it is done in the style of W. W. Denslow. Item #56390
