GROUPING OF 13 original etchings on calendar sheets for the years 1949 to 1969 (missing the years 1953, 1955-56, 1958-60, and 1963-65; two copies of 1966) in protective stiff card envelope, image area approx 7 x 10 inches on sheet 16 x 11 inches. Paper is slightly textured and tone varies from cream to ivory. Light wear to sheet edges including occasional bumped corners or creasing (not affecting image area), two light marks to right margin of 1950 calendar just touching image area; overall very good clean condition. Each etching depicts a different London scene featuring famous landmarks including Piccadilly Circus, the Tower, Grosvenor Square, Haymarket Theatre, and Little Venice; information about each scene is provided below, flanked by small monthly calendars. The artists are Leonard Squirrell and Henry N. Eccleston. The Calendarium Londinense, an annually published calendar featuring contemporary fine art prints of the capital, was founded by William Monk in 1903 and ran until 2004. Item #56356
