Color pictorial map, 9 x 16 inches, originally issued as folding brochure, three of four panels now adhered to scrap book page (fourth flaps free). Light wear to extremities including 3 tears up to 1/2 inch, repaired split to rightmost fold line, slight ripples in spots as a result of being glued to page; good condition overall, clean and bright. Sold as is. The colorful cartoon map by Prendergast centers on the California city of Watsonville and surrounding valley, with Monterey and Carmel to the south and Santa Cruz to the north. The free end of the brochure flips over to advertise the area's coastline and "Splendid Modern Schools". The full map title reads: "Live, Work and Play in the Beautiful Pajaro Valley. Come via Southern Pacific Railroad, Pacific Greyhound Bus Lines, or in your own car or plane." Item #56299
