Text on verso by abolitionist Richard J. Hinton delivers a thorough report on the subject. General wear to sheet with 9 inch diagonal crease to lower corners and a few short (up to 1/2) tears; good condition overall. Illustrations depict Coal Creek Dam in Colorado, a cross section of a channel in use at Los Angeles, a water-gate on the Boise River Irrigation Canal, and much more.
