THREE unused hotel luggage labels, 4 1/4 x 2 3/4 inches. Ink notation to verso, not visible from front; very good condition. Fascinating East Berlin ephemera saved by someone who attended the 400th anniversary celebrations of the Staatskappelle, the resident orchestra of the Berlin State opera, founded in 1570. The program covers the last two months of the season and includes performances from Carmen, the Master-Singers of Nuremburg, the Flying Dutchman, and other favorites. The luggage labels are from the Hotel Berolina, a once-famous hotel on Karl-Marx-Allee. Item #56001
