Twenty nine lithographic plates including two color lithographs and eight two-color lithographs, plus two handcolored route maps, 185+89pp+plates, 12 1/2 x 10 inches, marbled endpapers, marbled paper-covered boards with red leather spine. Rubbing to covers, crease to lower right corners of several text pages (outside of text area and not affecting any plates). Good clean and tight condition. The first article is a "Description de Quelques Plantes Remarquables de la Nouvelle-Caledonie" with twenty seven plates relating to this article. Another article: "Journal d'un Voyage en Mongolie fait en 1866 by M. L'Abbe Armand David" with color maps. The plate section includes fifteen original lithographs by Riocreux of plants, eight two-tone plates of crabs and a lobster, two full color lithographs of birds (Crossoptilon Drouynii and Megalaima Lagrandierii with Hyloterpe Rodolphi), fossils, plus two fold-out color maps "Sartchy a Barou-Taba-Djao" and "Route de Sartchy au Lac De Tae Hae."
