No Place of Publication. Self-published. No date. Circa 1960s?
Book, illustrated with black and white photographic illustrations, 74 roneod typed pages, 11 x 8 1/2 inches, pictorial paper covers with cloth binding. Author's name handwritten, presumably by author, on title page. Very light wear to covers; overall excellent/ unused condition. This self-published travel diary records Al Stenson's journey through the Himalayas, covering March-May 1960. It contains a humourous foreword by John E. F. Hunt, selected for the honor because he was the closest thing the author could get to the famous mountaineer Sir John Hunt, without whose introduction "no self-respecting book on mountains, especially the Himalayas, could ever reach print". An interesting personal account from a Seattle native. No WorldCat entry. Item #55812
