Three issues (February 1987, July and November 1988) of the magazine, each in color pictorial paper wrappers as issued 10 1/2 X 14 inches, illustrated in color and black and white, 64 pages each. Light wear, lower spine of July 1988 issue is splitting, slightly musty odour, overall very good. "The magazine SOVIET LIFE is published by reciprocal agreement between the governments of the USA and the Soviet Union." February 1987 sections include: Commentary, In Focus, Travel, Space, Profiles, History, Fine Arts etc. with several articles on the MIR space station, and a full page color illustration with 27 features marked, also an article and color back cover photo illustration of Gudauri - a winter wonderland. July 1988 sections include Religion (the issue features "years of Russia's Christianity", Perestroika in Action, Science and Technology. November 1988 sections include Millennial Celebrations, Perestroika in Action, Environment (including a powerful color illustration by cartoonist Gennadi Magomayev, an artist from Daghestan, "Is this the earth or a restaurant?"
