Booklet, illustrated with 5 color lithographs, 48 pages, 7 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches, staple binding in green card wrappers. Some staining to covers, centrefold detached, previous owner's name in pencil on first page, staples rusty. Interior is clean and bright; overall very good condition. A charming booklet produced by the Pennant Brand containing recipes for desserts and light lunches including frappes, iced drinks, mousses, parfaits, punches, sandwiches, and "Special Sundaes", that last being the longest listing. Of particular interest are the Holiday Specials, with the following instructions given for the Fourth of July: "In a high stem special glass put a No. 24 scoop of chocolate ice cream, pour over marshmallow whip, then a No. 12 scoop of strawberry ice cream. Pour over this Pennant Strawberry Fruit, garnish with pecan nuts, pink whipped cream, cherry and American flag." Item #55732
