Multiple short tears to front and back covers, sharp creasing to back cover, 1 3/4 inch chip to top left corner of back cover, splits to head and tail of spine with 1/2 inch paper loss. Soft creasing to text block, particularly at top right corner; interior overall very good condition, clean and bright. Many beautifully illustrated advertisements for clothing and domestic goods, as well as articles, advice, and fiction. Cover illustration of a very stylish motoring trio by Harrison Fisher with the confused male navigator. Features include: "A Free Woman: My Own Story of Emancipation", "Three Interesting Hollow-Tile Houses", and many short stories.
