London. Hopwood & Crew. Circa 1890.
Sheet music for polka with color illustrated lithographic cover featuring exotic ceramics, 5 pages, 13 1/3 x 10 inches. Interior pages detached from covers, which are almost fully detached from each other. Wear to left edge along spine with light abrasions along back page, presumably from being removed from an album; short (less than 1 inch) repaired tears to fore edges of interior pages; streak marks to back cover; general age-related wear; overall good condition. The back cover features short snippets of "Hopwood and Crew's new dance music as played by Coote and Tinney's band", written by Charles Coote Jr. (1831-1916) and French composer Emile Waldteufel (1837-1915).
