The foreword of the booklet states: "This Guide is published by the Co-Ordinating Council for Welfare of the Troops in Egypt with a view to providing useful information for Officers and men of His Britannic Majesty and Allied Forces staying in and coming on leave to Cairo." Information is provided on bureaus, clubs, and tourist sites. The brightly colored fold out map of the centre of Cairo (with an inset map of the great urban area) is provided "With the compliments of Marconi Radio Telegraph Company of Egypt, S.A.E" and shows service clubs, amusements, places of worship, railways, bus and tram routes, as well as banks, clubs etc. Item #55553
