Color map of the State of Oregon approximately 38" x 48 1/2" inches folded to 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. Printed text states "J. K. Gill 1911." Map depicts National Forests, Indian Reservations, Rail Lines, Cities and Towns of varying sizes, un-surveyed regions to the east, the Columbia River to the North, etc. Remnants of stiff blue card along top left border, indicating that the map was once contained in a protective cover, no longer present. Small (1/4 inch) separations to multiple fold intersections; 1/2 inch tear to upper margin, not penetrating neatline; 1 inch tear to margin at upper left corner where map was removed from cover, also not penetrating neatline; overall good clean condition. An uncommon and striking production in terms of size, detailed notation, and coloration.
