Turner, Stanley (mapmaker).
Ottawa. Brading's Capital Brewery Ltd., 1949.
Pamphlet, 8 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches, unfolding to color pictographic / pictorial map, sheet size 17 1/2 x 22 3/4 inches, text in French. Clearly a well-used map: math equations in pencil on verso; 2 inch curved tear to top edge of map, starting at fold end; 3/4 inch splits to two other fold ends; pinhole separations to multiple fold intersections; creasing along fold lines. Colors are bright and image remains attractive. A striking color map with pictographs highlighting historical buildings, wildlife and places of interest. At lower right is an inset map "Les Provinces Maritimes". The decorative border features men who played a part in the region's colonization. One of the striking series of maps designed by Stanley Turner. Item #55524
