Color pictographic / pictorial map, bordered by vignette illustrations, approx. 20 1/2 x 27 1/2 inches, folding as issued to pamphlet 10 x 7 inches. Slight foxing to covers; map in excellent condition. Shows highways and roads, while pictographs show Navajo rug weaving areas, rock formations, ruins, etc. all in the inimitable style of Don Bloodgood. Verso includes large color photographs of the reservation. Text states: "Lines on a map show only its roads and boundaries. Navajoland is much more than that; it's a sovereign nation. Navajoland is the Navajo people, from industrious workmen and busy secretaries to youngsters tending sheep along the highways." This is a later edition of the map by Don Bloodgood originally published in 1960. Item #55523
