Large detailed English language "Tourist Map" on sheet 30 x 24 1/2 inches folding to stiff card covers 10 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches. Legend on map provides images denoting Mountains, Rivers, Lakes, Swamps and Wadi's (streams with water only in winter). Highways, railways, filling stations, summer resorts, hotels and resthouses are also identified. Triangular symbol identifies "ancient sites." Library stamp and label on front cover, pinhole separations to map fold intersections and 1/4 inch tear to right margin; overall very good clean condition. An uncommon item. A web site (20th Century History of Iraq) observes of the country "...the 1970s can be seen as a high point in Iraq's modern history.
