Large color map, 32 x 23 1/2 inches folding to brochure 8 x 4 inches, depicts center city Philadelphia and adjacent regions, with two inset maps in the lower right corner titled, one depicting PTC lines in Montgomery and Bucks Counties and the other depicting PTC lines in Delaware County. Verso of map contains a small color map titled Central-City District, together with text discussing fares, transfers, etc. and a list of places of historical interest as well as parks and recreation facilities. Map overall in good clean condition, with breaks in several folds and light toning in vicinity of folded map's front cover. Rear panel of folded map states Revised April 1948 superimposed over the numeral "7". A map on the philageohistory.org website displays a map published by the Philadelphia Transportation Company dated April 1948 7th Edition. The map contains two areas in which large concentric circles indicate what are described as potential atomic bomb blast-zones. However, the map described above, containing two inset area maps in lower right corner, lacks the circular blast zones, but is also dated April 1948 in the lower left corner. Item #55341
