Intaglio engravings with original handcolor, images approximately 6 1/2 x 5 inches on sheets 11 x 7 1/2 inches. Very small tears and chipping to edges of some sheets and light foxing to several, mostly outside image area. Overall very good condition. The six engravings are precise renderings of six different plants with medicinal properties, showing roots, leaves, flowers, and stamen. From an unknown botanical publication, they are numbered as follows: Figure 71, foxglove; Figure 65, cyclamen; Figure 9, aloe; Figure 11, almond; Figure 17, wolf's bane; Figure 55, autumn crocus.
