Provides 6 black and white full-page route maps (highways in red) in addition to 5 full color pictorial maps (one double page centrefold, one partial page, three full page) of the American west, showing routes from Denver to the West Coast as well as the North/South Pacific Highways from the Canadian border to the Mexican border. Very good clean condition. A scarce travel publication; WorldCat shows only one library holding the item. Text on first page of booklet reads: The Lincoln Highway, from New York to San Francisco is No 30 to Salt Lake City and 50 thence to San Francisco. Victory Highway, No. 40, runs from Washington, D.C. to Salt Lake City and San Francisco. No. 50 also runs from Washington to San Francisco, south of No. 40. These are the chief routes featured in the booklet, with Denver the starting point for westward travel. The full color maps focus on California: the centrefold covers the area from Sacramento as far west as Reno and Carson City, in addition there are full color maps of the Monterey to San Francisco and Sacramento area and one from Los Angeles to Salinas.
