New York. Earl Carroll. 08 - 20 - 1928.
Twenty-eight page program for Earl Carroll Vanities, week of August 20, 1928, approximately 12 x 9 inches. The featured star was W. C. Fields (pictured at front of program) who appeared in a number of sketches over the course of the evening, many written by himself. Program also featured Ray Dooley and Joe Frisco. A small photo on page 20 features Lillian Roth, performing in the Vanities at an early stage of her problematic career. Program has been folded vertically, likely to stuff in a jacket pocket, otherwise good clean condition. An uncommon theatrical souvenir. Item #55118
