Fesch, C. A. (illustrator).
London. No date. Ca. 1880s.
Color lithographic print 11 3/4 x 17 1/4 inches on sheet 17 x 23 inches titled "The Meet," presumably the first in a series of fox hunting scenes. No publisher information is provided on the print. Fresch's signature appears in the lower right hand corner. There are crease marks entering the image at the top, but these are fairly unobtrusive. The print would present best if matted reasonably close to the image. A handsome and boldly colorful item, with condition issues attributable to age. A large and handsome image showing participants gathering on horseback including a single woman riding side-saddle, the dogs are gathered in the foreground. Fesch was active in the 1880s through early 1900s in England. He is known for sporting prints: sculling, cycling, and equestrian images. Item #54800
