New York. John Hanrahan. 11- 1933.
Volume 11, No. 2. Oversize magazine, 14 x 10 inches, 48 pages, featuring articles and reviews pertaining to current theatre in New York City. Two items given extended focus, in text and photos, are the plays "Men in White," a production of the Group Theatre, and "Let ‘em Eat Cake," the George S. Kaufman comedy with music by George Gershwin and lyrics by brother Ira. Fifteen photos are devoted to telling the story of the play. Another illustrated feature calls attention to Irene Sharaff’s masks for "As Thousands Cheer," the popular review with book by Moss Hart and music and lyrics by Irving Berlin. A full-page ad for Lux soap on page one features a photo of actress Marilyn Miller. Someone has put tape along the spine edge of the magazine, evidently to hold it together. Apart from that, the magazine is in very good clean condition. Item #54751
