JAPAN - BEPPU) Fujiwara, T.
Beppu, Japan. Beppu Research Society. 1928.
Booklet, color pictorial card wrappers with string tie, 7 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches (19 x 12 cm), 30 numbered pages, color folding map of the city, black and white photo illustrations. Very good condition. A most attractive publication presenting the hot springs resort of Beppu in the most cosmopolitan terms: the introduction notes that "the city of Beppu is among the best known places of this country which no globe-trotters can afford to neglect" while the Mayor extends the hope that "this booklet will be to visitors to this place what Baedeker is to globe-trotters." The back cover repeats the exhortation of the title, here quoted as "See Beppu, ahd then die." Item #54726
