Huge wall map, sheet 39 x 54 inches, folding to 13 1/2 x 10 inches, full color maps on one side, two color map on verso. Some wear to edges which results in wear to central fold, overall good condition. Detailed maps of Japan with inset maps of the Philippines, South East Asia, Oceania and Australia. Map on the verso is titled "'Geographia' Map of the Pacific Ocean" with "Places Occupied by U.S. Forces" and "Probable New U.S. Bases" marked in red. A collection of maps intended to provide information to the general U.S. public with the end of World War II; although no doubt published in large quantities, this is now an uncommon map due to its size and intended use.
