Color pictorial map on sheet 18 x 23 3/4 inches, folding to pamphlet 9 x 4 inches. Light wear along a couple of folds, tiny pinhole separations at a couple of fold intersection, light wear, displays very well. A most attractive map by Willmarth (who did maps of the Sun Valley area amongst other places), with Chicago and St. Louis to the east stretching to the west coast. The lines of the Union Pacific railroad are boldly delineated in red, with images highlighting the attractions. Text and blue and black sketch images on verso. The pamphlet is dated 1946 on verso. Kenneth and William Willmarth were artists who produced a number of stunning poster of the Pacific Northwest. An uncommon piece, with two OCLC holdings at the University of Wyoming and Brigham Young University. Also held in the David Rumsey map collection. Item #54441
