April edition has two creases at lower right corner, still overall very good condition. April 29 issue has four illustrations on the front page (Rolling the Barrrels, Straightening the Barrels etc.) with a 1 1/4 page article inside with further illustrations. May 20 issue has illustrations on the front cover and with the 1 1/2 page article inside. These two articles cover the "Water Shops of the Springfield Armory where the gun barrels are rolled, bored, turned, rifled, and tested, ready for asembling in the finished weapon...[and] the Hill shops, where the complicated parts which go to make up the breech mechanism...are machined and finished and where the wooden stocks are made and the whole gun is assembled..." The April issue also includes an article and two photo-illustrations of the Sutro Baths of San Francisco with detailed information on their structure. Item #54229
