Boston. M. M. Ballou. 11-25- 1854.
Three black and white illustrations comprising, with text, one half of the newspaper’s 15 x 11 inch rear page. The illustrations depict the blackface performer George Christy, (referred to as "the Noted Ethiopian Delineator") as he appears in life and also in costume as two of his well-known characterizations, "Ginger Blue" and "Julius Crow." Text states "This style of entertainment is of recent origin and is strictly American in its character." Very good clean condition. Bottom half of page illustrates the "Pas de Quatre" as seen at Her Majesty’s Theatre, London, while the front page features text and a half page illustration devoted to "Brooklyn Heights, Opposite the City of New York."
