Tourist Brochure, 8 3/4 x 4 inches featuring, within, a folded color pictorial map of Cairo 17 x 15 1/2 inches. The maps is an attractive production and utilizes small inset maps of Heliopolis, Helwan, and the Giza Pyramids. The brochure dates from 1963, a decade after the military overthrow of King Farouk (noted for his coin collection) led by Gamil Abdel Nasser and others. The brochure provides programs for a visit of from one to eight days. Embasssies are listed, night clubs, hotels, plus a list of monuments and other sites of interest. Ongoing trips to other parts of Egypt are briefly discussed. The booklet proudly proclaims "Cairo the less expensive Capital in the World. U.N. Report." Item #53507
