Theatre program 9 x 6 1/2 inches; 32 pp. plus paper covers. The play had been running on Broadway for over a year when this program was published. Gone from the cast are Burl Ives as Big Daddy (now played by Thomas Gomez), Mildred Dunnock as Big Mama (now played by Claiborne Foster) and Ben Gazarra as Brick (now played by Alex Nicol). Elia Kazan directed the production; scenery and lighting by Jo Mielziner. Brownie McGhee and Sonny Terry were featured in small roles--chiefly responsible for musical interludes. The play was given 694 performances before closing. Very good clean condition. An engaging program with considerable vintage advertising--automotive, airlines, food and drink, etc. featuring the replacement cast for the long-running hit. Item #53493
