Color map (double sided), 23 3/4 x 17 inches on sheet size 27 1/2 x 19 inches, folding as issued into 9 x 4 3/4 inch pictorial thin card folder. Folder lightly worn with 1 inch tear to front wrapper; maps in very good condition. One side features a large Tourist Map in color subtitled The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Inset is a small map of International Boundaries for countries in the region showing Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran. The large map employs the term "Jewish Occupied Palestine" in referring to Israel. The boundaries reflect the region following the short-lived Arab Federation (14 February 1958--2 August 1958) uniting the Hashemite Kingdoms of Iraq and Jordan. ( The term Arab Federation is inked over on the map and on the card folder.) On verso of the map of Jordan is a map titled Jerusalem (Old City and Environs) with an inset map of Bethlehem. Verso of card folder features text relating to strictures with regard to travel between Israel and Jordan. Item #53279
