Pamphlet 9 1/2 x 5 inches unfolding to color plan of the docks 28 1/2 x 5 inches. Map depicts the Seaforth & Litherland terminus at one end and the Dingle Station terminus at the other, with 16 stops between. Good condition: vertical center crease, light edge wear, 1/2 inch tear to mid left edge of map. Railway was used to haul goods and dock laborers, in addition to tourists. The Railway, which opened in 1893, was dismantled in 1957. The figure given for the number of loaded railway wagons is from 1949. Item #52966
