Skelley, E. A. (mapmaker).
Portland, OR. Oregon State Highway Commission. No date. Ca. 1935.
Large single color wall map, sheet size 42 x inches. Some creases from rolling; overall very good condition. Detailed map showing Primary Highways, Secondary Highways, Country Roads, and Railroads. Among the interesting historical details of the map are: ferry service between Astoria and McGowan on the Washington side of the Columbia River (ferry service began in 1926; construction of the Astoria-Megler Bridge started in 1962); the I.O.N. Highway No. 456 was complete in 1933; there is no Timberline Lodge (constructed between 1936 and 1938) marked on Mt. Hood, but Cloud Cap Inn is marked. These suggest a date of circa 1935 for the map.
