Black and white pictographic / pictorial street map, sheet size 16 3/4 x 22 1/2 inches, multiple folds. A few faint soiled spots, tiny hole (1/16 inch) along lower left fold; good condition. An unusual post World War II map distinguished by its small depictions of the city's key sites and buildings, as accurately rendered as possible at the scale. The Government Railway Line, Private Tramway Line, Municipal Tramway Line, Subway line, and Tokyo Sightseeing Route are marked. At lower left is an inset detail map of the Ginza district with vignette illustrations of the building including the Head Office of the Dai-Nippon Brewery, S. Watanabe (woodblock print) store, and Matsuya and Mitsukoshi Department Stores. Item #52106
