Playwright Guy Bolton is best remembered for the Gershwin's "Lady, Be Good" and Cole Porter's "Anything Goes." The program features extensive period advertising, including Djer-Kiss (color); the bulk of the advertising is directed toward the female playgoer. The frothy comedy unfolds the tale of a young woman's fabrication of an intriguing past with the object of making herself a more interesting person; complications ensue.
