Montreal. Canadian National Railways. No date. Ca. 1927.
Color folded map attached to 4 x 9 inch jacket. When unfolded the map is approximately 17 x 24.5 inches and depicts in bird's-eye perspective the route of the "triangle tour" of British Columbia: travel by train from Vancouver east to Jasper Park Lodge, then head west to Prince Rupert on the coast, returning by steamer to Vancouver. Sepia photos depict the scenic attractions of the region. Map has been poorly folded at some point (distorting somewhat the jacket's uniformity); when unfolded the map presents a vivid and colorful image of the mountainous Canadian Rockies and Pacific coastline. Wording on front of jacket states "Supplement to the Canadian Rockies Folder issued by Canadian National Railways." Condition must be regarded as good-minus as a consequence of the botched folding; when the map is unfolded this problem is minimized. Item #50458
