Color lithograph with some hand-color, 13 x 19 1/2 inches on sheet size 16 1/2 x 23 inches. With accompanying text sheet. A few faint spots to right and lower margin (outside image area), adhesive tape to corners of verso (not affecting front image), overall very good bright condition. Attractive view of the "Milanese Sculpture-room" inside the Crystal Palace from the first international World's Fair which took place in Hyde Park, London, England, from May 1 to October 15 1851. This lithograph, printed in rich colors, was published as one of the folio plates for "Dickinson's Comprehensive Pictures of the Great Exhibition of 1851 From the Originals Painted for H.R.H. Prince Albert by Messrs. [Joseph] Nash, [Louis] Haghe, and [David] Roberts." The accompanying text describes the "whole gallery of statues, the works of Italian artists, exhibited under the Austrian flag..." including works by Raffaelo Monti, Strazza, and Innocenzo Fraccaroli.
