Covers: some light soiling, library stamp to upper edge of front cover, 1/2 inch chip to upper left corner of front cover and head of spine, a couple of tears to spine, general light wear. Interior: light smudges to a few pages, soft vertical crease to last few pages, otherwise very good condition. This is the "Waterman's Manual - from Canoes to Yachts" issue with cover illustration by J. Paul Verrees featuring a woman sailing. Interesting articles include: "The Setters - English, Irish and Scotch" (Part Two); "Old Pictorial Wall Papers," by Helen Dean Bogan; illustrated feature "Horses for the Army." The magazine is a formidable resource for advertising relating to architecture, interior design and the good life of the period. Much black and white advertising relating to real estate, dogs and poultry, furniture, etc., including a promotional real estate ad: You Will Find "Country Life at Its Best" at Garden City.
