Hukkala, G. (mapmaker).
Chicago. Herald Examiner. 04-05- 1936.
Color pictorial map, from the April 5, 1936, issue of the Herald Examiner, newspaper sheet 21 1/2 x 17 inches, archivally mounted to paper backing. Soft horizontal fold now minimized; good condition with some light soiling and faint toning. This map by G. Hukkala shows Ethiopia and surrounding countries. The position of Italian and Ethiopian armies are marked, together with the area occupied by Italian armies. At upper right is a portrait image of King Victor Emmanuel of Italy. The text beneath the image elucidates the political position: "Even if Ethiopiea should appeal for peace, there probably won't be much left for the Abyssinians...." Item #50271
