Engraving, hand colored, image plate-mark approximately 11 3/4 x 8 inches on sheet size 12 3/4 x 8 3/4. Scattered foxing, mended 3/4 inch tear with small chip to upper left edge (mainly outside plate mark), 1/2 inch tear to left upper edge (outside plate mark); good condition. This attractive antique costume print, featuring a woman in traditional dress from Cauchoise, France, appears to be from "Cent cinq Costumes des Départements de la Seine Inférieure du Calvados de la Manche et de l'Orne" showing costumes from the Lower Seine and other French regions, with engravings by Georges Jacques Gatine after a painting by Benoit Pecheux.
