Huge color folding map sheet approx. 27 x 42 inches tipped in to disbound report (pp. 447-486) with black and white photo illustrations. Map is in fine condition. The detailed folding map, dated 1899, is by geologist F.C. Schrader with topography by T.G. Gerdine. Scale is 1:625,000. A interesting map relating to the Alaskan Gold Rush; the appendix notes that "As this report goes to press (December, 1900), authentic information is received of further discoveries of paying gold placers on the upper waters of the Koyukuk, mostly on tributaries of the Middle Fork."
