Willoughby, NSW, Australia. H. Phillips. No date. Ca. 1930.
Thirty-two pp. booklet in pictorial paper wraps, 6.25 x 10.25 inches, issued while the Sydney Harbour Bridge (opened in 1932) was under construction. The center page has come loose from the staple binding. Covers lightly soiled, creased, and bumped along free edge. The heavily illustrated booklet provides detailed information regarding the history of the bridge as a visionary endeavor as well as the engineering challenges involved in its construction. Numerous photographs, line drawings and several bird's-eye views place the bridge in the context of Sydney and the northern suburbs. An uncommon booklet in overall good condition. Item #49202
