Chromolithographs on two sheets each 15 3/4 x 11 inches, Mended short tear to upper edge of each sheet, faint offsetting; otherwise very good condition. Illustration and plan of a particularly impressive dwelling with stone facade to the lower floor, turrets, multiple chimneys, and verandas on both floors ("piazza" on the lower floor). On the left sheet are pictured the Side Elevation and Front Elevation of the building, on the right sheet are plans for the first and second floor. The first floor includes a hall, parlor, library, kitchen, pantry, conservatory, dining room; the second floor has five chambers, two verandas and a bathroom with tub and WC. Issued as a supplement to the Scientific American Architects and Builders Edition December 1885. Item #48671
