Color engraving (stipple, aquatint) 23 3/4 x 15 inches on sheet size 27 x 17 1/4 inches mounted on paper support. Some creases and short tears to edges (outside image area). Pencil note on the verso identifies the subject as "Lavinia Bingham, countess Spencer from Painting by Reynolds" "re-print from original plate in color." It shows a lady in white seated outdoors with her dog. The publishing line reads: "London: Published 1906 by C.E. Clifford & co., 21, Haymarket, S.W." This company had been in business under various names originally as suppliers to the National Portrait Gallery for many years. Item #48487
